On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, Launch Pad Youth Activity and Technology Centre’s volunteers and employees were thrilled to welcome Intelligent Community Forum Co-Founder Lou Zacharilla (far right) as part of his site visit to Grey County, as the county is nominated for one of the Top Seven Intelligent Communities in the world for 2017.

Launch Pad is an activity and technology centre for young people aged 12 to 18 years located at 612 10th St., Hanover, Ontario.
We are open from 3:30-8:00 PM on Tues - Fri.
We are planning art, digital media, software, music, entreprenuership, computer hardware, hands-on and just plain fun activities.
I didn’t get a chance to say congratulations at the Launch Pad celebration last month. I’m so inspired by the work you and your team are doing in Hanover. In my work I hear from people who say that youth don’t have enough choices for positive activities. It’s great to see the Launch Pad doing something about this! The focus on skills building is so crucial – providing youth with the tools to imagine a different kind of future for themselves. Such great work. Congrats! I just went through the new catalogue of programs at Launch Pad and am in awe by the diversity of programs and all of the opportunities available to youth in Grey Bruce! Hopefully down the road we can create something similar in Wellington County :) Gabriella Ieropoli ~ Community Youth Resiliency Worker - Mount Forest Family Health Team
I am absolutely floored with the awesomeness of the catalogue!! Way to go!! I am interested in signing my son up for a bunch of them- any tech ones, but for sure Welding in June! So proud of LP now!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I am sure you have made a lot of parents happy with this move! Parent of one of our members
I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you for this semester. I would have never thought that all of this would have happened back in February. When I heard you wanted a co-op student I was anxious to get a feel for what Launch Pad had to offer and it has been amazing. I love coming in on Wednesday evenings and working with the youth as well as being able to work on other things like the Creation’s Festival during the mornings. Your encouragement for me to get involved with community events that have been held here is also incredibly generous as I feel like I’m contributing to important issues that not everyone has a chance to know about.
The connections I’ve made, and the people that I’ve met have given me an immense amount of opportunities for my future. I’ve developed so many important skills and have had the time to work on the things that I enjoy through Launch Pad and for that I thank you. I hope that we will be able to continue working together in the future. Erich Mayerhofer ~ Spring 2017 Co-op Student
